WeekendTrails.com was started in 2011 to be a site for people who love hiking. Who are we? We are Christina and James, a couple in Southern California who loves to do amateur hiking on weekends. Originally we used to take our photo’s, GPS tracking, etc and post them on Facebook for our friends and families to see and enjoy. The response we received was so enormous that we decided to make a website dedicated to posting our hiking updates as we progress.
On top of being able to read descriptions, view pictures, as well as view GPS tracking info about the hikes we’ve done, the site features a forum area where people can talk about hiking, comment about our own updates, or even give suggestions about the website itself.
